Pallmann Finishing

For over fifteen years we have been a fan of the Pallmann company. The company has a North American headquarters and training facility nearby in Aurora, Colorado.

Recently, Pallmann developed a two component stain and sealer product that is virtually odor free. After sanding, we did a water pop treatment to the floor to open the grain of the flooring to allow for better finish penetration. The product was then applied with a stainless trowel and burnished with the spider.

After an overnight dry time, the next day we applied two coats of Pall-X Gold finish satin sheen. This is a 2 component waterborne finish that has exceptional durability and a rapid cure time.

The client wanted to get rid of the old orange color of her oak floors. The color they chose for this floor was nutmeg. In our experience, this is the lightest of the brown colors that remains neutral in tone. The color was a nice compliment to the existing millwork in the home.

Sanding Matters

The process of properly sanding a wood floor cannot be rushed. In order to flatten the surface we went through a rigorous initial sanding. Using our planetary sanding system with dust collection, we were able to get the surface flat.

If you are ready to change the color of your wood floors, then give us a call or a text. We will get right back to you. Your floor can look this good too.
